is the canned alaskin salmon ok?

Why beat around the bush? Avoid ALL animal products rather than trying to find the least toxic ones! Also, no mention of hot peppers – they are the most anti-inflammatory foods in the world!

so is arachadonic acid basically rancid (oxidized, heated, etc) poly oils/seeds? omega 6 that is damaged? same polys found in cheap veggie oils like corn or soy used for cooking? so basically rotten polyunsat fatty acids? wouldn’t anything that is rotten cause immune system reaction to deal with the toxins of said rotten food? also feeding animals these same things causing inflammation in them going into our bodies as well?

I have heard of the phrase that “All cooked food is (essentially) poison”… from reading a site whose owner wrote about a story of her own life, where she used to be mostly overweight, always feeling “foggy” mentally, and having problems with flatulence (if that is the word??) until she tried out a totally raw food diet and stuck to it… now she is totally young, lean, in super-health, and there’s like, boundless energy!
I guess there r lots of people even on youtube promoting raw foods

@ncfwhitetigress : They do “eat” but not the way we normally use the word. They take in minerals and water from the soil in which they are planted via their root systems. You were referring to photosynthesis, which requires carbon dioxide from the air, water and energy taken from sunlight.

interesting but unrelistic when it comes to what you can eat,

@terajasoos
Congratulations on learning not to trust any one. Even more importantly, definately don’t trust the people most people do trust, like doctors, preachers, and government officials.
The best bet is to buy your food from local sources that you can WATCH and get to know the owners personally. Getting food has been the biggest part of life from the beginning. Why should it be easy now?

Ugh, “organic” does NOT guarantee that the animals are grass-fed!!!
December 18th, 2010 on 7:00 pm
@urpmi Yep, and organic is also not necessarily good. If you feed a pig grains, you get the bad fats no matter if the fats are organic or not. Also the problem isn’t as big in ruminants, because they can convert poly-unsaturated feds to saturated fats, so their fatty acid profile is not as dependent on what they are fed as is that of omnivores, which means the meat of ruminants is preferable over that from omnivores. Grass-fed cattle or lamb, game or wild caught-fish would be the best way to go.

@terajasoos Yeah of course the industry is going to backlash. They need to cell those fertilizers, fungizides etc. And of course they try to meddle with the organic standards so that even “organic” food will contain those toxins. However, organic food still contains less toxins in most cases.

Very informative – thanks!

I appreciate your effort to educate people but, there are some errors in your explaination that I cannot ignore.
Prostaglandines and Leukotrienes are not cells, they are chemical substances, similar to hormones, only that they dont get carried around in your body as much as hormones. So Prostaglanines are classified as mediators. They are produced and released by inflammatory cells, they are not inflammatory cells themselves.
Sorry for my English, I’m still learning.
keep up the good work!

I think it would be better to say “grain-fed” than “farm raised.” The term “farm raised” is confusing because grass fed cows are raised on farms.
December 18th, 2010 on 9:41 pm
obviously she is promoting organic foods—that is her choice—however, now there are claims that organic food is just really hyped up to fool the consumer. i dont trust anyone anymore.

Nathalie will make – or already is – a great mom.
I love your style Nathalie. Thanks for your videos.
That said, his kids will probably have 20 years of drinking home-made carrot juice before realizing it…
