not once you are used to a low carb, low sugar, high healthy fats diet. My body runs extremely well and efficiently on 20g carbs per day(mainly in the form of fresh non-startchy vegetables). I always have consistently high energy levels without peaks and troughs and my body must be burning fat not glucose for energy.

Yummy sugar! Now if you’re truly concerned, consult a nutritionist and talk about moderation. Extremes in consumption (from zero to over-consumption) can be bad, so be intelligent. “Nutrition by Natalie” is a nice expose on the amount someone -could- consume on a daily basis.
