I believe no one will ever be use to it; there will always be that “feelings of discomfort” every time panic attacks occur. The first few seconds of your attack is the best time for you to determine if you want to handle your attacks or not. You must be thinking, “Well, what exactly should I do to make this ordeal a little less threatening”?

First, look for a quiet place to peacefully handle your attack; you would not want to attract other’s attention because it will just make you more nervous. Going to a place with much fresh air commonly helps so I highly suggest you do this. In case worse things happen, bring along with you a friend or a love one to watch you over.

If you are not able to manage your panic attack there, be ready for the next stage. Attacks usually reach its peak after ten or eleven minutes. At this point, you will feel all the nasty things you ought to feel – palpitations, hyperventilation, and increased sweating. Anticipate for the worst but do not give up the fight.

It may be a little challenging but it will help if you continue to breath correctly even if the symptoms start to sink in. This is important since tendencies for a person to pass out are high due to the lack of or diminished oxygen in the brain. Deep breathing techniques is done by inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling slowly through your pursed lips.
