System-Wide Candidiasis – Factors, Signs And Remedy For ‘Candida’
by on Jun.06, 2010, under Uncategorized
Systemic Candidiasis is an infection caused by a surplus of a natural yeast called Candida albicans. Normally held in check by the good bacteria in our bodies, under certain conditions the Candid albicans ‘overgrows’ into a fungal state which causes the Candidiasis infection. Systemic Candidiasis usually starts in the abdominal tract and then spreads to other organs via the bloodstream.
‘Systemic’ means “…affecting the entire body, or, a complete organism.” So widespread Candidiasis can describe a deep rooted infection in the intestinal tract, bloodstream, kidneys, liver, heart, esophagus, vagina, john thomas, mouth, eyes, or skin.
What Causes Candida Albicans to Overgrow?
There are lots of reasons why the bodies beneficial bacteria may not be in a position to control the Candida albicans, but one crucial one is the increasing use of antibiotics. Other triggers are things like reduced immune system, steroid overuse, underlying medical conditions, recreational drugs, diabetes, hormonal contraceptives and stress.
Indications of Systemic Candidiasis
Vagina : Redness and redness, heavy itching, unusual white ( thick ) discharge, painful urination, agonizing or very unlikely sex.
Mouth : Raised whitish spots on tongue and mucous surfaces, thick white coating on tongue, crack / fissures in tongue, dragon breath, difficulty swallowing.
Skin : Incisions, acne, rashes.
Conventional Treatment for Systemic Candidiasis
Depending on the placement of the infection, prescribed and OTC medication is usually in the shape of topical creams, pessaries, liquid formulations and capsules. Infrequently injections are required for particularly deep rooted Candidiasis, e.g. Systemic inner organ infections.
These antifungal medications are pharmaceutical based. Some which need to be taken internally or intravenously have some negative side-effects. The topical ones should not be a problem unless you are allergic to the drug itself.
Sadly, many women ( particularly ) will have recurring attacks. A couple of the things that this has been put down to are ( one ) the treatment of the symptoms instead of the underlying cause ( s ), and, ( 2 ) the ability of the Candida allbicans to build a resistance to the drugs. And these drug-based medicines can be quite pricey. So may folks are now looking to alternative medicines.
