Nutrition & Behavior: A Lecture By Russell Blaylock, MD
by on Jul.05, 2010, under Nutrition
In this lecture, Dr. Russell Blaylock explains one of the most important connections between nutrition and our health- how nutrition affects our behavior. Citing a series of important studies, he shows that good nutrition can powerfully enhance our memory, mood, and behavior in a socially desirable way. Like wise he shows us that poor nutrition can lead our youth into a world of violence, crime, depression and suicide. By using an impressive array of studies on both juvenile and adult prisoners, Dr. Blaylock demonstrates these principals and outlines specific measures you can take to protect your children from these detrimental effects. Most importantly, he shows us that it is never too late to make these nutritional changes. You can order this DVD at www.atavistik.com.

I checked the board of Neurosurgery and he was listed but he does not continue with Maintenance of Certification, which is needed for board certification, but if no longer practicing I would not expect for him to maintain it.

drsa76, I would like to know why you think this. If you visit the American Board of Medical Specialties website you will find that Dr. Russell Blaylock is still listed as a board certified neurosurgeon. But please send me (his son) a message if you feel that Dr. Blaylock needs to be made aware of any kind of error regarding his credentials and I’ll see that he gets it.

I do think Dr. Blaylock maybe onto something. He is not actually board certified as his website states as he has not kept up with Maintenance of Certification. His website does not allow messages to be sent to him so I wasn’t able to contact him about this error.

vintozwahalen: Very well put. EXACTLY! Now is the time for the West to give serious consideration to the Vedas and the True meaning of Yoga. I have been a Tantric Monk for many years now and never before have I seen clearly see the value of Yoga to all beings. I am not talking about exercises but The Science, Philosophy and Wisdom of the Supreme truth that is YOGA. As Patanjali puts it “YOGA IS THE CONTROL OF THE THOUGHT WAVES IN THE MIND: ONLY THEN DO WE STAND IN OUR OWN TRUE NATURE.”

and he is being completely anecdotal when citing the Columbine tragedy. The fact that their daddies left guns around in MUCH MORE significant. So sugar is bad. And how much money do you want me to pay you to get me to stop eating sugar. I’m not sure I have enough!

Allopathic Doctors I see them as infentile all those years in medical school to know that sugar can agrivate behavior this doctor do not impress me whatsoever. But its good that he can open your minds, in an american way. wich is something I cant seem to do.

This video is great, but this knowledge has been known for over 5000 years just look into ayurveda. and its vedas and old texts they all talk about how food affects your mind body and soul… Ayurveda is the way

Thats why I wonder why the people don’t care for what they eat. Just as the only demand for food would be a nice taste. How simple minded people are ….

Great video and well put together. This is a great resource for education on nutrition and general health. Going to the source of the problem! People need to really start focusing on what they’re putting into their bodies and why. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. And don’t think that the doctor that is treating you is always right. Make sure that they are taking the time to get to the cause of your condition.

I am pushing this forward. We don’t have time to sit back and wait. We have to be ACTIVE! Send e-mails, get educated and speak to people. Help others understand and get involved.
