Mark’s P90X Review and Transformation Round 1

www.hardcoreresults.com – Sign up for FREE coaching! I’m a 38 year old single parent of two kids, ages 9 and 11. Before starting P90X I always felt sluggish, weak, tired, and made every excuse possible to make myself feel better for not getting into shape. Whether it was because I didn’t have time due to work, needing to catch up on the laundry, needing to go buy groceries, clean around the house, volunteer at the kid’s school or whatever it may have been at the time…I used every excuse imaginable to comfort myself for my lack of effort in utilizing my gym membership. I’m no less busy now but I’ve made time and made my health my priority! Aside from time being a good excuse I also used my own body as a crutch. I’ve got one really bad knee and one that only “just hurts” occasionally. How in the world would I ever be able to get in shape if I can’t get in the required cardio?? I mean, there’s not a whole lot of cardio that one can do with their arms, right? So, with my bag of excuses that I had compiled over the years, I had grown more and more content with being out of shape and falling into the age-old stereotype that it’s normal for your fitness to decline with age. After all, I had tried the gym memberships in the past with only minimal success. So, I just figured it just wasn’t in my genes and I wasn’t meant to be super-fit. Then, I saw a video on You Tube that grabbed my attention. It was the personal transformation story of a P90X user that would eventually become …

Is that a Peavey Bandit in the back?
I’m starting with this too… I started once before but kept getting stopped so I quit…
Now I wanna do it all the way… But I’m scared of the muscle pain for the first week like last time… And that I’m not gonna be able to take it :/

@DerekJeterfan2 In short, with the Doubles version, you add in extra cardio to the program. I’ve been asked this question quite a bit so I went ahead and posted an article today on my site that explains in much more detail. You can view it at HardCoreResults*com (you’ll see the post right at the top of the page). Let me know if you have any further questions after reading it!

@tbear116 hey…Shakeology is a protein/meal replacement drink. Not much else compares to all of the ingredients that are packed into it…you can find more info on my blog. Look under the “Supplements” tab at: HardCoreResults*com Feel free to contact me on there if you have any more questions!

whats shakeology? how much it it? is it seperate from the program? are there any alternatives for it?
April 1st, 2011 on 8:25 am
@rider3969 Thanks! I started out with 12-15 reps for the first couple of months since I was so out of shape and trying to prevent a recurrence of tendinitis in my arm. The last month, I felt stronger and confident in my arm and I moved toward the 8-10 reps. I will be continuing this in my second round as well. I’m in it for the long run so I didn’t want to rush and take myself out of the game with an aggravated injury.
