so only people that have a reaction to gluten should stay away from it or is it recomended to stay away from it anyway?

  • FlypaperGirl

thanks god, it is only some people. I have no real health problems, so probably I do not have that problem and I have real bread craving and since I eat a lot of eat mu skin became better, lucky

@hustnex you know what? alot of mainstream doctors do a terrible job, and I am so sick of alot of them just ‘treating symptoms’…I have sat there feeling like I was doing a better job than some of these docotors I have seen-most are pretty ignorant about nutrition-I tried to tell one doctor I have a malabsorption problem, and it is causing weight gain-she said if a person is malnourished, they will lose weight (I told her not always)-there are many heavy malnourished people in this country!!!!

@redzo2001 doesnt matter unless ur gluten intolerant

  • PlushieClock

@ThePtree good for you, but quit being a wimp and enjoy the many
many delicious nutrititous, fresh food that arent gluten

@ThePtree: You’re probably addicted because you have a problem with gluten. The addiction and the sensitivity go hand in hand. Go totally gluten free for just a couple weeks. If you feel as much BETTER as I did, you will not care anymore about those baked treats. I was addicted too, so I know where you’re coming from. But the way I feel now is so amazing that I’d never go back. Plus there are some bread mixes and even yummie g-free cookies.

This is fascinating. I am sure that my mother, myself, and both my daughters are all gluten intolerant. Our symptoms are all the same exactly. Hair loss, skin rashes, bloating, neurological stuff, etc. My weight is too high, my blood pressure abnormal high, and my blood sugar is all over the place. I am now starting a no gluten diet. It’s tough too. I love bread, cake, pizza, etc. I have to do this, though. I am tired of suffering.

gliadin is the glycoprotien that is gluten in wheat. In rye and in barley they have different (but similar) names. The antibodies are the anti-gliadin antibodies. I know the name is kind of redundant.
I am a retired RN. Retired because of my undiagnosed Celiac Disease. Overall a good presentation. I am just a bit of a nit-picker.

I really appreciate this video. Thank you so much for posting it. It is amazing how much food can affect a person’s health. I can’t drink milk, eat cheese or ice cream or potatoes. I am now much healthier than I was two years ago. I am fifty-five and when I was younger, I had little or no reactions I remember from these things, but it is different today. I gladly put them down to avoid inflammation. I stopped drinking soft drinks and began drinking more water too. Thanks again!

I had a sandwich and an extra bread before watching this…

Thanks though . That taught me a lot.

  • hustnex

thank u so much!! i’ve been looking for some useful info on gluten and what it can do to the body .i have a few little red bumps on my hand and dryness i went to the doc today & she told me i have eczema , i’m 26 & never had it before!?. i asked if it could be my diet? she sed no, its not likely anything u eat .”with out even asking me what my diet is like” , crazy right? i wasn’t buying it to say the least, so im going to cut as much gluten as i can;).

  • tim0090

im no scientist but from what i know about auto immune response and how allergies come about (as scientists still haven’t agreed exactly how it happens) this is a very narrow mined view on this subject. some scientist believe that allergy’s come about because of proteins entering the blood. this may be true but it wouldn’t just affect your tolerance to gluten!!!

  • Bobababy2208

so can gluten cause constipation??? I’ve been havin constipation problems for quite a while and some ppl have told me it could be gluten intolerance… could it be??

  • gamekiiid

i think i got acne cuz of glutein? im so addicted to breads i cant even imagine myself without them :(

  • redzo2001

i’m addicted to gluten foods ;l

  • sincityfire

@ThePtree You don’t have to quit gluten(bread) if you don’t have a gluten intolerance.

  • sincityfire

I think some people are getting confused. Gluten isn’t a drug. and gluten affects people with Gluten Intolerance.

  • sincityfire

@brandonkirk Gluten isn’t a drug, it’s a type of protein. Which is most commonly found in wheat flour. For what reason it has made you high, I don’t know but Congratulations on living.

  • moodykitty
