@Namri if you want easy and quick then I’d just suggest getting used to foods in their natural, uncooked, state. This is easy because you really only have to cover the produce section of your grocer, and there’s usually some kind of sale so just go with the flow. Mind you, these are not going to last in your fridge as long as the TV dinners will, so shop light, get your feet wet a little before plunging all in. I have a great hummus recipe to help you with the veggies, and it’s quick+ez!

I’ve been trying to eat Vegan but I’ve only managed Vegetarian because I’m plumb out of time in my day and just stock up on cheapest no-meat hardy tv dinners and was wondering if you have tips for fast vegan….I think I need to change my mindset or make that switch turn on in my head, but I can’t figure out quite how… Would be very grateful for advice…

I love this video….unfortunately my dad really was on his death bed, he struggled with Diabetes, survived 2 heart attacks and still wouldn’t change his diet or lifestyle….the 3rd heart attack took him out, along with plenty of other difficulties, His struggle turned me into a Health Nut, I will listen to everything you have to say, and do it….anything that’s beneficial for my health, I will do:)

My own personal system for a teen who lives in a family who can’t afford organic foods:1. Learn to cook, it can be fun, and you get a chance to share with your family. 2. When going to WHole Foods, or any organic store, make sure to only go for the things you truly need like fruits, an vegetables. Stay away from the un needed pastries, and prepared foods, youll end up spending to much money.Trust me!3.Steal coupons!!!
July 23rd, 2010 on 6:08 pm
@explorer2101 I could do that if it ware a large cardboard coupon.
the Coupons i get are on the back of receipts.

To *shannonsurreal*: Yes, it is sad that most people will not believe in eating or being healthy until something goes wrong (could be a heart attack, or something as downgrating who they are to the point of total depression or mental shut down). I completely understand why a person would want to help their loved ones, but if they don’t want to believe in eating healthy or until they have their own ‘ah-ha’ moment there is nothing you can do but watch them waste away their life. Terrible but true.

Sadly most people won;t believe in eating healthy food unless it’s already too late and they’re all sick, like Natalie says in the video, the guy who’s just had a heart attack will be much more willing to eat healthier. But the guy who sees no problems with his health (or denies them) is very hard to convince…
